Running the 2023 London Marathon?

Wondering what on earth you're doing putting yourself through 26.2 miles? Frantically googling what to pack in your kit bag? Scanning the internet questioning how to carb load pre marathon? I get it!
The mixture of excitement, fear, dread and anticipated exhaustion is real at this stage of training. With just 18 days to go to get those race legs ready the anticipation of the London Marathon looms. I've put together a few top tips from my experience....
Talking kit bags, what to pack? Jumper, spare pair of shoes is KEY - your feet will thank you for it at the end of a long race, your favourite snack, phone charger, joggers.
Carb Loading? the main aim is to increase glycogen levels. Do this gradually. From 4 days before race day, make sure carbs consist of 1/2 of your plate.
Lastly? enjoy it! Take those headphones out, listen to the crowds cheer you past, the drummers playing, the music at split marks and take in the whole experience. Its potentially a once in a lifetime event, don't take it for granted!
